La Société du Thé purveys fine quality whole leaf teas from around the world and advocates the “Tea Experience” as an antidote to a harried world. On our shelves can be found teas (Black, Oolong, and Green) from places like Brazil, South Africa, Sikkim, Mauritius and Java, as well as the customary countries of China, Ceylon, India, Formosa and Japan. In addition to classic blends, like English Breakfast and Earl Grey … which in our shop is called Comte Gris … we have several Avant Garde Blends and Rare teas.

Our inventory includes unique accessories such as the Tea One to make the most out of your own tea experience.

When you really want a good tea, want to try something different, or need a unique gift, please think of us.

A real gem of a spot that feels like something out of a novel - it's cozy, esoteric, slightly mysterious - but with an amazing selection of teas and a welcoming, very knowledgeable owner! I really should come here more often.

Impeccable. Great varieties of teas and the staff is happy to expertly take you through them. I'm from NYC and I drilled through the Mauritius Tea I bought here too quickly. Need to go back for more!

Easily the best tea shop in Minneapolis. Shop owners know a lot about the teas they offer and are able to make good recommendations. They carry a huge assortment of tea, including varieties from Mariage Freres. Give this one a visit-- you won't regret it!

After brunch at French Meadow, I stroll over here. The owners are ready to tell you tales about their latest tea-related travel adventures. It's a pleasure to take tea in the shop and almost as much fun to buy tea to take home. Tea is stored in the classic shining steel canisters, and you can sniff the teas to make sure their recommendations and your requests will suit your palate.

Not a place to go to if you are looking to have some food with your tea, but oh my goodness if you want tea they have it. Call ahead of time if you would like to have a group came in and have talk about the asain culture. Owns seem nice and they are always looking for more teas. I recommend a hot pot of tea on a cold day.

The owner was very informative about the different types of tea and how best to serve them. I was simply purchasing some loose tea, but would love to go back for a tea tasting.
