Thank you for your interest in Secluded Celebrations.
This has been a dream of mine for quite some time . . . to serve good food at a leisurly pace to family & friends without being hurried or rushed, taking the time to enjoy each others company.
Whether it be a special occasion such as a birthday, bridal or baby shower, or just a nice get-together, we can make a delightful celebration for up to 16 people. A minimum gathering of five please.
We can create a menu to your liking. It is important to me that I serve the freshest food that is locally grown. I shop our Farmer�s Markets and purchase from our local farmers. I cook from scratch and use organic whenever possible.
The price will depend on the menu desired.

What a loving Tea we had at Secluded Celebrations!! I went with my group from St. Patrick's for our Christmas celebration, then took some friends a week later. The food is scrumptious, beautifully served, the atmosphere is charming, fun, and peaceful! Looking outside is lovely with many different kinds of birds flying to the bird feeders and squirrels frolicking outside. A peaceful, amazing experience. Grit makes it very special with her wonderful personality - can't wait to go again!!!

It is a wonderful place for a 'secluded celebration.' The food is delicious, beautifully served! The entire atmosphere of every aspect of the experience is pure delight, fun, and relaxing! Grit is fun and her food is creatively served! I have been there five or six times and each experience is amazing!

My first visit to Secluded Celebrations was an opportunity to have lunch with a friend. As a drinker of very strong coffee, I had never developed a liking for hot tea, thinking it little more than tinged water. Much to my delight, our hostess Grit changed my attitude toward tea! She served a different variety with each course, finishing with a delicious dessert pairing.
My second visit included a brief garden walk where I found some interesting new hostas for my yard. Grit is a gracious, down-to-earth hostess and a visit to Secluded Celebrations is a delight for the senses.

You can tell the owner has put her energy and creativity into every thing she does. She doesn't miss a detail. lighting candles and putting special hand towels in the bathroom. Making early arrivers comfortable. Her cooking in fabulous and she does great pairings of teas with each course she serves. Very relaxing time. Small and quaint.

Enjoyed yet another beautiful tea for 9 today. Have been going with my friend now for a year! It is such a lovely tea room with a sweet & charming hostess Grit! She always makes a wonderful selection of foods to eat! 5 tasty courses to relax & enjoy & all beautifully presented. Grit tells us about each course in addition to serving 3 different teas. My favorites are creme brulee & sugarplum cinnamon spice! We had a 2 new ones--a peach & blueberry vanilla along with her peace tea. What relaxing place to enjoy one's family & friends for a nice afternoon! A hidden gem that should indeed be on your list to go to!

You've not been here for tea ? What's keeping you ? Just had my 3rd tea lunch here and am going again in Sept., and Dec. Do I like it ? Can you tell ? Its the most relaxing, beautiful, tasty tea room I've been to, outside of Prince of Whales Hotel in Canada.
A truly unique experience with tastes and decor for each season. Hostess Grit is a delight and very entertaining. If you want a private , leisurely lunch with just your special guests, this is THE PLACE ! Make it a date, you won't be sorry.

Six of us gals from Canton, Michigan who do water aerobics all summer together decided to celebrate ourselves by going to Secluded Celebrations for lunch. We were met at the door by Grit (short for Margaret) who made us a delicious hot lunch with a wonderful tea to accompany each of our food courses -- we had Peace tea, Pumpkin tea, Chocolate Raspberry Truffle and then Creme Brule tea with our dessert. After lunch and before our dessert, we walked her beautiful gardens. We totally enjoyed our day and tea room experience. Grit is not only a great chef, but welcoming hostess. You must visit and experience total beauty and relaxation along with all the wonderful food and teas and don't forget to purchase your favorite tea to take home with you too.

Grit makes everyone feel at home while she stuffs us to the top with five courses of wonderful, fresh lunch. We watched the hummers visit her beautiful gardens outside the window. Even the trip out to her place is beautiful and relaxing.

Secluded Celebrations is a wonderful place to go to feel pampered, to enjoy delicious artistically presented food, to see beautiful landscaping, to savor tantalizing tea, and to be entertained. The value of what we received far surpassed what we were charged! We want to go back just to try other menu items! Everything was “par excellent”! Grit had special touches in everything she did and we enjoyed her great humor! We want other friends to join us and experience the wonder of “Secluded Celebrations”!

Magical! Our babysitter hosted a tea for her babysitting moms and Grit and Rich delivered a wonderful event. From the moment we pulled into the candle-lit drive and entered the cozy and beautifully decorated tea room, I knew I was in good hands. The tea was delicious (one of my first teas, however), the food tasty and delivered by a gracious and witty hostess, and the atmosphere was so peaceful. I'd reccomend Secluded Celebrations to anyone looking for a special night out.

We are a group of ladies, having met in London, England; we have had many 'Teas' together. Secluded Celebrations is by far the BEST yet.
Grit made the afternoon a true delight. After choosing our menu, Grit prepared our choice to perfection, with a few added surprises.
I came home and told my husband every detail….He, and some of the other husbands, wanted to know if men are allowed. I will have to check this out.
The ladies will return, and hopefully with our husbands.
Thank You Grit for the “Tea”, the tour through the gardens, and a lovely afternoon.

I have been to a lot of teas all over Michigan, London and New York City and this place has it all! It is country but very elegant with linen and unique china. The hosta gardens are one of a kind. I got to pick the different courses that were all home cooked and was outstanding. The quality and amount of food were so worth the price. Might be a little hard to find but well worth it! The owner was a delight and paid attention to details. What a great evening!!!!

We are perhaps one of the longest standing tea groups in the area, and have had the pleasure of enjoying tea at Secluded Celebrations since its inception as a tearoom. We have participated in every holiday event possible and every season in this chariming setting, and always anticipate the next fresh seasonal menu and decor Grit will present us with. Each visit is a new treat and experience. The outdoor amenities only enhance the total experience. You will surely be delighted.

Too bad there are only 5 stars! Grit definitely deserves many more than 5.
I am part of the British group and we as a group have tried many tea rooms in the area, none can compare to Secluded Celebrations.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and didn't want to leave.
The service was outstanding as well as the food and entertainment (thank you Grit!) The walk through your gardens was a real treat, also. You are a real gem. We will be back, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Over the past year, several friends and I have enjoyed tea parties in various settings. Grit's Secluded Celebrations was amazing. To sit and watch the humming birds pass by the windows was such a treat. And the gourmet food was a delight for all, each course building and flowing so nicely with the last. The gardens were in full bloom (in late July) and we all enjoyed the garden walk afterwards.
Yet with all the treats provided, Grits humor and personality were my favorite treats. She shines here and we can't wait to go back soon! Thank you Grit!!!

A splendid dining experience with my daughter and a small group of old friends. The tearoom was very inviting. Great appetizers, soup,entree,vegtables and a lovely creative dessert. Ending with the most delightful tea I've ever sipped. Grit and Rich were warm and comfortable hosts. Our Valentine Tea was just lovely with a 4-course gormet meal plus dessert. The food is outstanding and prepared by Grit, the owner. The room was decorated for the occasion, and watching the winter birds outside the windows in the country setting was amazing. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. I'm ready to go back anytime.

A group of 6 friends gathered at Secluded Gardens for the 3rd time. Each visit was a 4 course meal with a different tea for each course. The gourmet menu was superb at each visit. WE enjoyed humming birds at the window and lovely shade gardens surrounding us, amoung several acres of property. I must tell you to be prepared to consider Grit, the owner, as a personal friend, after your first visit!! This tea room will satisfy you higest expectations for any occasion !

The Birthday Tea I attended today at Secluded Celebrations was one of the most charming experiences I have ever had. From the moment I arrived in this country garden paradise, I felt as peaceful and contented as my surroundings. From the warm welcome of our congenial hostess, Grit, to the graceful ambiance of the elegantly appointed tables and delicious four-course gourmet luncheon and signature 'Peace Tea', it was the most enjoyable afternoon with friends that I have spent in many a year. The mushroom barley soup that began our meal was especially delicious containing several different kinds of mushrooms as well as carrots and fresh herbs. A jolly tour of the extensive gardens was both informative and a nice break between lunch and dessert (Decadent Chocolate Mousse served in wine glasses!). Grit's attention to every detail, including regard for my own nut allergies, augurs great success for this unique establishment. I can't wait return in the fall!

I have had the pleasure of having lunch here three times. The tearoom is surrounded by woods and beautiful landscaping, thus the view from the windows are beautiful. The owner and chef, Grit is friendly and professional. The food is gourmet, and the tea served is apropos to the course being served. The table settings and room decor change with the theme of the tea and the seasons. The experience is lovely, with a touch of class without being stuffy.

Congratulations, Grit, for the fine tea house you have established at Secluded Celebrations. Our book club had a delightful luncheon which was perfect down to every detail. It was so nice how you spent some time with us but at the same time allowed us to enjoy our lunch and enjoy conversation with each other. This was an incredible experience it was a Mother/ Daughter 'Royal' Tea Party for our Granddaughters' 6th Birthday Party, what a fabulous time was had by all, food was fabulous, the Peace tea was outstanding, and no stress for me, Princess Lexie's friends were delighted, to make it even more especial, Grit sent all the little daughters home with their very own teacup, 'never will they have tea and not remember thee!' We had a delightful experience - not being a tea afficionado it's difficult to critique the teas and their preparation. We were served 'Peace' tea and so enjoyed it that we purchased for our personal consumption. The meal was wonderful - fresh and full of mouth-watering flavors. The surroundings are serene and the perfect backdrop for a country tea experience.
Grit is a lovely hostess - allowing ample time to enjoy each course while keep the tea cups and water goblets full.
I look forward to visting again when the gardens are in full bloom.

Four long time friends spent a few hours in a peaceful, friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere where we could just spend time with laughter and tears. The food was exceptional from the soup through the salad, quiche, signature spinach pie to the chocolate mousse with homemade whip cream. The caring touch, the personal touch decor, the sensitivity to the quests, their needs and the flavorful teas will be remembered and are appreciated. Thank you Grit!

The atomsphere is serene, Grit is a fabulous hostess, food was amazing, and I normally don't drink tea but I enjoyed drinking the Peace Tea Grit served.We enjoyed the dining experience so much we want to have our holiday party there! If you are looking for a relaxing and nourishing respite, I HIGHLY recommend Secluded Celebrations. I was there for lunch with five of my coworkers and we all had a lovely time. I experienced my first visit to Secluded Celebrations Teahouse this weekend and it was delightful and relaxing. The food was excellent, served beautifully, with great attention to detail. Grit was warm and friendly. The setting was absoulutely tranquil with birds playing in the snow and nature at its best. I hope to return again in the Spring. Our group attended our first tea at Secluded Celebration’s this afternoon, and I have to say that it was well worth the drive (Thank you Grit for the well placed road signs!) Everything surpassed our expectations! Grit’s tea room is warm and inviting, and the view of her snow covered property was magical. Grit is a gracious hostess, her quick wit and charm instantly put us all at ease, and we got a chance to just relax as she attended to every little detail. The food was delicious, cherry scones with lemon curd and clotted cream, cream of asparagus soup served in antique cream soup bowls (a highlight for me), a scrumptious quiche and her signature spinach pie which will definitely have us coming back again. Just when we thought it couldn’t get better it did… her chocolate tiramisu was incredible! I’m still thinking about it! Grit, thank you again for your wonderful hospitality we will see you again in the Spring!

This tea room is in a lovely wooded setting and the peaceful view of the gardens is very relaxing. 'Grit' is an avid cook and it shows in her delicious food. She is warm, friendly and anxious to please her guests. I have been there several times and have not been disappointed.
