My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at this tea room a few weeks back. Bobbi and her staff were very kind and accommodating, and Bobbi even gave us a personal tour of the place! Our teas were great and the food was delicious. We sat at a beautiful window table, and we enjoyed the time that we spent together. I would definitely recommend stopping by! Thank you for hosting such a wonderful experience :)

Stopped in for a Halloween Witches Brew event. I enjoyed the Lemon Rooibos tea and my sine loved his Ghostly Ice Box cookie. The psychic reading my wife got was on point. Really enjoyed the evening and will definitely be coming back.

Kudos to The Lizzie Rose for providing the catering for my daughter and daughter-in-law's "Sprinkle" in the middle of a blizzard. Despite the weather, the delicious food was delivered earlier than planned and was even better than I anticipated! Our guests feasted on 5 different types of tea sandwiches, blueberry and raspberry scones, and petite desserts (mini cupcakes, lemon cookies, heart shaped brownies, and grapes). The presentation was very professional, done with the upmost of care, and was exceptionally delicious! Guest favorites were the Chicken Salad (Made w/Sour Cream, Mayo and Red Onion) in Filo Cups and the Cucumber, Cream Cheese on Rye Swirl. My husband loved the Smithfield Ham/Cheese w/Dijon Mustard on Rye. On a cold, blustering day, it was comforting to have food that was made with a lot of love! Thank you, Lizzie Rose, for making theTea Party Sprinkle memorable! You were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. We look forward to coming to the Tea Shop in the near future. Sincerely, Mary Ellen Procaccini

My daughter and I hosted a shower for my niece this past weekend. In the beginning stages of planning, we had envisioned an elegant setting fit for a princess. After viewing several venues we stumbled upon The Lizzie Rose Tea room, which is truly a hidden gem. Liz was helpful through all the planning and even calmed me down through several 'mini breakdowns'. And most wonderfully our visions came to reality on the day of the shower. The room was elegant, everything on the menu (tea sandwiches, scones, mini pastries) were delicious, the tea was wonderful. Liz worked with us through all the set up, helping to create our dream. All of our guests said in one way or another 'what a beautiful venue, how pretty it all is, what a wonderful shower! ' And most importantly, my niece love it and felt like a princess for the day. Wonderful, wonderful place!

My family and I went to Lizzie Rose today to celebrate my mom and sister's birthdays. We have attended a variety of tea houses in NJ. We were greeted and served by the owner, Lizzie Rose. We liked the whole feel of the house. The food was very good and included an abundance of tea sandwiches, scones, and desserts. We also enjoyed the variety of items for sale and at least 6 members of our party purchased tea pots, cups, dishes and assorted accessories. There is a great story behind the house with friendly ghosts in residence. I highly recommend visiting. Reservations are a must. No credit cards.

Surprised w/comments from Allison, we have visited several times and always had a selection of teas and sandwiches for everyone! I think the Lizzie Rose is one of the best tea rooms!!

Went to tea with a large group. We were served 'black tea' and were not offered any assortment. The trays had an assortment of tea sandwiches, but not enough for everyone to try. Several of us wanted to go for lunch when we left. Although the place is lovely, the tea itself was sub par.

Lovely place for afternoon tea with a friend! Were kind enough to serve without a reservation when we stopped by on a whim. Room's architecture and execution is striking and very in theme with the tea service. Provided hats and boas made the afternoon even more fun. Highly recommend!

I went there for my birthday this past January. It was beautiful. We were the first to arrive that day and I was able to sit by the window in the library filled with books and tea sets. I was in a dolly heaven! We even made it on the facebook page. (So did my little stuffed owl I brought with me. XD) I want to go back again so badly. Before I leave for college definitely.

This tea house is beautiful! We had a beach weekend planning my daugters wedding on LBI so I brought my daughter and her bridal party for brunch and we had a wonderful time. The atmosphere, table decor and food was superb. I recomment this to anyone planning a special event at any age or just an afternoon out with a friend.

We had such a wonderful time! They were having a problem with their phone lines, during their move to the new building next door, so I was not able to make a reservation. We took a chance and went anyway (My mom didn't know we were going and it was a surprise for her 75th birthday). The ladies at the Lizzie Rose couldn't have been nicer! They put together a wonderful little tea party for us with luscious teas, and scrumptious desserts & cookies, on the spur of the moment. They were so sweet and we had a wonderful time! Definitely going back again!

I went to The Lizzie Rose today with my best friend. The amosphere was fantastic. All of he food was homemade and so delicious. After our tea, we were given a tour of the establishment and learned the history of the property and the wonderful owner.
Cannot wait to return!! I will have to order extra tea sandwiches because they were so good!!!
Thank you for a wonderful afternoon1

I liked this place. The food was great and the teas are delicious. I had to get sugar from another table when I ran out, the staff didn't explain what the HIGH tea was, they assumed we knew which left us feeling unaware of our choices. They have food that is a la carte. I guess we each could've gotten our own tea in a separate pot but the server never offered it just told us we could share. We had to steep the tea to our own liking which I'd rather not do. If you get lost in conversation, your tea will then be strong. But the staff was pleasant and the room was beautiful. We will be back to explore the rest of the menu but will ask more questions next time.

A true tea experience. I have visited several times and never been disapointed. They also have a lovely gift shop. Liz, the owner was very helpful, and went above and beyond in service. I look forward to many return trips. I currently live 150 miles away, and the tearoom is definately worth the trip.

My girlfriend and I travel around to different tea houses in NJ and Philly - we have even had tea together in London. We visited the Lizzie Rose in October and had a lovely time!!! The atmosphere was cozy, the 3-tiered food display and tea were perfect for our 'girls' afternoon out. I felt the personal service and attention to our needs was more than we had expected. It was also nice to shop and look around the renovation projects after we had tea. We will visit again in the future.

I had tea at the Lizzie Rose a couple of weeks ago for the first time and loved it. We drove about 45 minutes to get there, but worth the trip. The food was wonderful, my only suggestion was that there should be more little sandwiches and less pastries. I would also suggest to have the tea pot of hot water on the table, we had to ask the waitress many times to fill our cups with hot water, and we felt funny asking so many times.
The service and the food were wonderful and I loved shopping in the antique shop next door. I will definately return.

Tea should always be relaxing, comfortable and enjoyed with friends and that's how we feel every time we have tea at the Lizzie Rose. When my husband and I visit with Liz (the owner), it's like going to one of your best friends house. We visit about once a month and Liz does all the cooking, baking and serving herself, that's why it's like being in a friend's home. The scones, tea sandwiches, desserts and presentation can only be described as excellent. The tea room takes up only a small part (only about 5 tables) of this beautifully restored Victorian home while the major part is a fabulous gift shop. I always have a handful of the Lizzie Rose business cards and I can be seen handing them out to those who will not accept anything but excellent when describing what you can expect when you have Afternoon Tea at the Lizzie Rose.

I took my 8 year old the first time I went to The Lizzie Rose. She loved the tea sandwiches so much I ate her PB + J (which was prepared especially for her). We have taken both of her grandmothers, friends on our 3rd trip and cousins/aunts with us on another visit. The food is made fresh the day you visit. That's why reservations are required. Lizzy serves you herself and she is knowledgable, friendly and an excellent cook.
Even if you are not having tea, you could spend hours in the old captain's house looking at all the tea china, gifts, silk scarves, soaps... There is something for everyone. My daughter gets to pick something everytime we go. The Lizzie Rose is fabulous! You can dress or go casual. You will feel like a queen as you sit at the table and sip different teas and eat yummy treats.
As a special treat we often take home teas we have tried that afternoon or a scone mix from the shop.
You will not be disappointed.

We were greeted with a warm welcome and a brief interesting history of the building. The three tier tea was delightful and the music added to the enjoyment. My two friends and I never felt rushed. The gift shop offered a wide variety of items, and the broken china garden was fun. Definitely rates 5 stars!

I had my baby shower at the Lizzie Rose and it was great! The tea room is small so we had it all to ourselves and Liz provided a special menu for us. She made a wonderful pound cake and decorated it in blue for the baby to be. She also made sure to have tea sandwiches w/out mayo for myself. Very accomodating and quaint. I would definately have a small party there again! My son is 1 now and I haven't had the chance to go back to the tea room...but I will, soon! Thanks Liz!
