Manager, Michelle, at Urbana Spa was rude, unkind and unsympathetic. I do not recommend spending your money at this establishment. The level of care and service receive by the manager, Michelle, was not appropriate.
I called to reschedule my massage for my boyfriend and I. I had an emergency life threatening surgery. She was extremely rude stating something wasn't disclosed on my intake inform so she didnt believe me. I tried to explain the emergency situation and even provide Dr documentation of the surgery. Michelle flat out stated she didn't care bc her ppl needed to get paid regardless. This was very saddened - especially after explaining I just lost a pregnancy. She really showed no empathy.
I gave in and state that my boyfriend will keep his appointment and I'll have a friend show in my place. Michelle tells me I am no longer welcomed at the spa, she would not issue a refund nor provide the services. So I have to pay for spa services she's refusing to let us receive

This is the best place that I have ever been for tea. When you walk in there is a calm atmosphere that is inviting. I was able to sit at the tea bar as long as I desired because, they do not rush you in and out with as much merchandise that they can squeeze in your possession. The tea is so good. The service is amazing, and its an inviting atmosphere. I will move almost all of my tea buying from that place.

I've been here many times for tea. What a difference from most tea places. The teas are amazing, very reasonably priced, and I'm always given a cup of tea to enjoy while checking out potential choices. Love the people at the tea bar. Most teas around $3 an ounce. I have to say I love everything about this place.

Urbana has a great selection of many teas, although they only have one black Keemun which is over priced ($18 for 2 oz). Most of the teas I have tried are good quality, but once you are spoiled by Adagio's prices, it's hard to over-pay any more. Overall: good tea, better prices than Teavana on some, but still too expensive

The tea bar is a great place for socializing or chatting with the very friendly and knowledgeable employees. Or you can settle in the lounge with a pot of tea and maybe some friends, although you'll feel very comfortable on your own. I recommend the Mandarin Silk tea, a perfect oolong that's my new favorite.

The gorgeous atmosphere (modern look, granite bar, soothing lighting, chill music, comfortable lounge) makes Urbana a great place to relax. There are over 100 whole leaf teas to choose from (!), including fragrant, delicious blends and some rare/unusual teas like yellow tea and pu-erh. I also love their iced matcha latte and their cheese plate with honeycomb. Yum!

The owner, Nancy, was very cordial and extremely knowledgeable in teas. The appetizer I ordered was good not great, but was very natural and healthy. Great environment, great tea, great staff.

I am a monthly customer at Urbana. I love going in early before my massage and truly relaxing w/ a great cup of tea. It is great because they offer you a free cup of tea if you are there for one of their services. I drink mainly white teas and have enjoyed the quality of white teas they offer. I wish they would open in other places because I am moving away from Charlotte and will miss my monthly visits.

This place is a spa which offers tea in a very inviting and relaxed modern environment. You have to speak to the owner, because the spa girls obviously know spa and not tea. That said, my wife and I had an absolutely wonderful experience here, and would like to see these folks expand beyond Charlotte (we're not from Charlotte). We will definitely be back the next time we're in town. The selection of teas was impressive, and the owner is definitely a connoisseur.

I stopped in to get a variety of teas from Africa and the selection was extraodinary. I not only purchased the African Teas, I also ended up purchasing teas from China and Japan. This place is pure bliss. The teas are absolutely amazing! If you do only one thing in life, make sure it is to stop by Urbana!
