TranquilaTEA is a full service tea room, complete with a gift shop brimming with unique treasures. We offer traditional tea parties, reminiscent of days gone by. We also offer daily lunch specials, private parties, fresh baked goods, and fine loose leaf tea. TranquilaTEA is locally owned by Mother-Daughter Team, Nancy Browning and Laura Watkins and is located in the charming town of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania
We would like you to be our guest, to enter our tea room and feel all the outside pressures melt away as you walk back in time. Taking tea is a pleasurable experience, engaging in intimate conversations and remembering the fond memories of childhood as little girls sit and giggle with their moms, trying to act so grown up, dressed in their finest.
A tea room promotes an atmosphere in which we can reacquaint ourselves with family and friends. In a world so full of overbooked smart phones and calendars, to the demanding schedules that we keep, we all need a reprieve from the marathon we run. So come, sit down, relax, and be our guest. Tune out the hustle and bustle of the outside world and enjoy some TranquilaTEA!

This tea room will always hold a special place in my heart. This is where my bridal shower was held 4 years ago, as well as other friends bridal showers. I moved out of the area after getting married and have returned to this tea room several times with my friends since. There is a wide selection of loose teas (Whisper of Heaven is my favorite I always have to pick some up when I am in town) and the cutest gift shop. The food and service are wonderful!

I have been to this tea shop multiple times and it never fails to deliver exquisite service, from the delectable finger foods to the pleasing warmth and aroma of teas. There's a lovely gift shop attached, don't miss out! One of my favorite teas is Winter's Dream: a black tea with chocolate and mint. Simply sumptuous!

As we are new to the area we have been looking for a good tea room and have finally found one. We made reservations for Queen's Tea and thoroughly enjoyed it. From the soup to the desserts everything was first rate. Service was friendly and the tea selections plentiful. We are looking forward to a return visit.

My firneds and I have been to several tea rooms in the Maryland/Pennsylvania/Virginia area and TranquilaTEA is by far our favorite! The food is delicious, and they must have at least 50 or 60 different flavors of tea. Definitely a must if you are in the area. I love this place, and am always looking for an excuse to treat myself to a trip here!

I have been to a couple of tea rooms and this is my favorite. The hot soup is out of this world and the sandwiches are always flavorful. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The gift shop area is awesome! The decor is wonderful! It is just a great experience all the way around.

The food, service, atmosphere and of course the tea was out of this world! I have also been to some of their themed private parties and they are so much fun. This tearoom is the absolute best! My mother and I travel frenquently, always looking for new tearooms to try. Tranquilatea was a wonderful experience! They had an extremely extensive tea menu, and the food was delicious. We also enjoyed browsing their gift shop. Tranquilatea is a true gem! I highly recommend it to anyone.

My friend and I enjoyed our first visit to TranquiliTEA yesterday. (We have moved it to the top of our list and are both planning return visits with other friends and family.) The tea room features two charming rooms - one a bit more formal and one with a sweet garden theme. There was also several areas to browse for the perfect tea themed gift in a wide range of prices.
The tea menu is extensive and you can try as many varieties as you can hold. :o ) We each had 3 and found new favorites. I loved being able to purchase some loose tea in my new favorite flavor to enjoy at home.
The food was delicious, ample and presented very prettily. We both were impressed with the zucchini soup garnished with parmesan and crisp bacon and the many tea sandwiches. The atmosphere was perfect for talking and lingering over the final cup. It was a lovely experience. Thank you!

My friend arranged to have my bachelorette party at TranquilliTea and we had a great time. I wanted to have a fun but classy bachelorette party. I am not a real fan of tea but I loved the white chocolate mousse tea! The food was great!! It was so much fun dressing up in the various hats and boas. It is a nice place to meet with friends for a quiet cup of tea or a fun place to go with friends and dress up! I can't wait to go back again!!

I recently treated a group of friends to a tea here. The food preparation was absolutely 'eye' appealing, & very tasty. There was nothing that we did not enjoy! I too am an 'avid' tea girl, & cannot believe the previous review given. I would ignore that one if you're considering a visit. You will enjoy~

My friend and I were so looking forward to tea and are avid tea girls. We were met with a very pretty shop and terrible food. The scones looked like bisquick biscuts and smelled and one bite in tasted like what PlayDoh should taste like - could not eat them. The cream was runny, the lemon curd had no lemon flavor. The sandwiches were just normal nothing over the top in flavor except the bread with raisons. The desserts were OMG - terrible. The lemon bar tasted like bacon fat or lard, no lemon. We could not eat and we watched another woman eat her bar and look around in disgust. They should taste what they serve and be proud. I will never eat here again and as an avid tea girl, will highly NOT recommend this as a stop for tea.

The tea selection at this tea room is great and the food was excellent but the shining spot has to be the gift shop. They have such a wide array of teas and teaware that I can't wait to do some shopping after lunch. I highly recommend giving this tea room a try and make sure you take some home with you. The Almond Cookie Green is the best!!

One of the best tea rooms I've ever experienced. The servers are knowledgeable about their teas and what their serving that day. The Queen's Tea is the best ever!! The atmosphere and shopping areas are so much fun. It is so relaxing that my friend and I call our trips to TranquiliTea our very own 'brain spa.'

Absolutely loved this tearoom. My daughter, myself, her little friend and her mother all went to have a teaparty & had a wonderful time. The food and tea were excellent. The victorian atmosphere made the experience relaxing & elegant. I cannot wait to share the experience with more of my friends & family!

My Sister, Lori, took me there for my birthday, we found the food, service and atmosphere very relaxing and wonderful. Be prepared for the time to go too fast. Love the clotted cream. We both lead very stressful and busy lives and found that all that disappears for the time we spend there. We have decided that this is the perfect gift for our birthdays. Looking forward to her birthday coming! Maybe we will have to invent birthdays! LOL

Located in a beautiful home, it looks the part of a perfect tea room. Upon closer examination, things are quite different. Advertised clotted cream, but actually used a mix of sour cream, sugar and almond extract, yuck! Limited variety of black teas, and very small portions of food - even for tea time. The potato soup tasted as if it was made from powered soup mix that had not been cooked long enough. A place to dress up and play at having tea.

Kelly is a good friend and I had the joy of helping her with the renovation of the tea house- what a business it has become...it has helped to revitalize downtown W-boro and add a touch of Victorian class and charm. The service is excellent, and you could not ask for a better group of folks to serve you. The food is always amazing and the atmosphere is one where the time passes in utmost leisure. I'd encourage anyone, even guys, to give it a try!!!Great place to take sweethearts!

This was a birthday gift for my daughter and I. We loved the sandwiches and the lovely tea. The atmosphere was wonderful. I could spend all day there. I can't wait to come back again. My daughter loved the blueberry hill tea.
