Protea Cottage is a traditional tearoom located in the heart of historic Gardner Village. Join us for full Afternoon Tea at Noon and 4 pm Mondays through Saturdays, by reservation. Join us for a cuppa anytime without reservation and as long as the parlor is available and there are open seats, we would love to accommodate you! Mommy 'n Me / Grandma 'n Me Tea Parties are held Fridays at 4 pm and the last Saturday of each month. We also host private tea parties, Princess Parties and special event teas. Tea leaf readings may be scheduled by appointment on Thursday afternoons.

Our tea shop is your source for high quality loose leaf tea, organic teabags, brewing equipment and accoutrements. We carry a large selection of teapots, teacups and all things tea-related, including children's basket sets and old-fashioned tin teasets. Our tea line and exclusive blend of wellness teas is available for purchase at www.teatobrew.com

      I love this place. I go as often as I can.

      But unfortunately, I believe it is closed. I cannot get ahold of them, and two other review websites say it is closed. :( It's a shame. This was the best place to have tea in Utah, in my opinon.

      I took my Mother and daughter to Protea for the afternoon Royal Gardner Tea. It was a great experience: the food was delicious and plentiful, the service impeccable, the loose-leaf tea extensive and a lovelly atmosphere. The staff is attentive to every detail. I recommend Protea to anyone looking for an elegant tea experience.

      An absolutely elegant parlor with fantastic food, tea and service. The loose leaf tea selection is fabulous with blacks, oolongs, herbals, rooibos and greens. The Afternoon Tea is an absolute delight with an incredible selection of delectable English scones, a variety of finger sandwiches and yummy desserts! For an unforgettable experience, visit Protea Cottage. My expectations were exceeded.

      Best Afternoon Tea! Better than the Biltmore in LA! It is truely a treasure! The Tea Parlor was fanastic and the shop was a wonderful adventure! It is must in SLC!

      On a recent visit to Salt Lake City, I discovered this real gem nestled in Gardner Village, West Jordan.

      My tea was brewed perfectly, the scones were delicious, and the owner, Shandre, very knowledgeable.

      I will definitely be coming back.

      LOVE YOUR GEORGIA PEACH ICE TEA! ...and Lavender & Camomille hot tea and Mint hot tea; also your tea time service is really sensational; Protea is the tea house where I want to take my friends to pamper and impress them. But most of all I love the owner's knowledge, service and attention ;-)

      I visited this tea parlor with my sisters and their daughters for the Mommy & Me Aternoon tea. The Little Ladies had a great time and we loved the beautiful presentation of the finger sandwiches and sweets. The variety of teas was amazing and the knowledgable staff was very friendly and very helpful. We've decided to make this one of our regular outings!

      After visiting a couple other tea rooms in the Salt Lake area, I've finally found one that rivals any in England. Friendly, knowledgable staff treat you like royalty and the tea selection is incredible. The best Earl Grey I've ever tasted and the traditional scones with fresh clotted cream and lemon curd are an absolute must.

      My daughter and I visited this tea parlor and we loved it. Fresh fruit, nice tea, Wonderful scones, with clotted cream, jam AND lemon curd. Their lemon curd was *almost* as good as my mom's. And it doesn't get any better than that!
