Tea Leaf Project
I have tea here every year at Christmas time. It is fantastic. The tea sandwiches and food are great and they accomodate our nut free family member. The tea is something I look forward too. Well worth the price!

What a nice place! The service was excellent. Live violin music accompanied our tea. This establishment is very upscale and the afternoon tea pleasant and yet formal.
Thank you for a most wonderful time!

This is a luxurious place to spend a relaxing couple of hours. Afternoon tea is served in the elegance of the Peninsula Lobby. This expansive room with 21-foot windows is warmed with green, yellow and cream. The spacious Lobby is intimate with tables set wide enough apart to feel you are not encroaching on anyone else’s conversation. A small balcony holds a cello and violin duo and fills the room with classic sounds. Tea service includes a delightful mix of scones, savories and sweets with a pot of tea. They offer a selection of thirty-two Mighty Leaf Teas plus proprietary blends. The Wedgwood China teapots and serving pieces our treats arrived on compliment the atmosphere perfectly. The lobster sandwich is divine. Lobster and shrimp blended with peas and fennel; this is a highlight for me. Our attentive server heard me say how much I liked it and brought us two more sandwiches. Another surprise was an orange soufflé brought to us, au gratis. A superb experience I look forward to having again.

My friends & I experienced a marvelous Afternoon Tea. It may not be the cozy little tearoom with lace curtains but you feel like a queen. Starting out with 2 types of scones, shortbread & Raspberry linzer, followed by a marvelous cream pot, fresh assortment of savories on different breads consisting of smoked salmon with pistachio cream, sage roasted mushrooms,
and truffled goat cheese quiche.
Pastries were delectable eclairs, cream puffes and more.
Large selection of teas, black, scented black, classic green & tisanes.
Cost was $36.
Would I go back? In a heartbeat.

When my sisters and friends get together for a long weekend, we try afternoon tea at new locations. The food, service, and tea were excellent at the Peninsula. The tea is served in a spaceous room that is more modern than most tea houses but it offered a great deal of privacy since the tables were far apart. Our group had a great time and we took our leftovers to our hotel room for a late night treat.

My husband and I had tea at the Peninsula on Saturday afternoon and it was absolutely awesome! The service was excellent! The variety of tea selections were very good. We also liked the variety of pastries and sandwiches. We also had champagne (also excellent - not to dry or flat) It was actually too much food, we couldn't finish everything....the music was great.....again everything was wonderful. We highly recommend the Peninsula and we will be back with our friends too!

I had Tea at the Peninsula with four friends yesterday. There was an excellent selection of loose leaf teas. The food and service were wonderful. The Peninsula even offers a vegan option (must be preordered), and my vegetarian friend enjoyed her special tray of goodies. We were brought refills on some of the food items which was a nice touch. The live music added to the elegant ambiance. I would highly recommend this Tea.

We have enjoyed Tea at several Chicago locations, but have found the Peninsula to be the finest. The selection of teas is excellent, including several 'premium' teas. The food is delicious. The view of Michigan Blvd is lovely, as is the chamber music. But the aspect which really surpasses all the other venues is the impeccable service. We did not have to request to have our pots refrshed -- they were taken care of regularly. We were asked after each course [sandwiches, scones, etc.] if we'd like more. On Friday's the fashion show is an added treat.
