I love the chai house I have eaten there several times and have been very pleased every time. the decor is awesome. they have a huge variety of teas. my favorite is the Malibu or the green tea.food is great I love pretty much every thing I have tried so far. I really like the tomato pie... must try . I see a bad review on here that person must have been having a bad day. everybody I talk to loves the place .

What a Jacksonville treat! The owners have done a great job of making this a beautiful tea house. There is a great selection of teas from all over.

Unlike the last review, I was impressed with the vast selection of teas. They serve loose leaf tea in a clear pot for those who enjoy watching the beauty of the leaf unfold and the beautiful colors they make. They only serve pots to those who are sharing due to the bitterness that is created when tea leaves steep. Smaller 16oz pots are served for those who are dining alone, which may not have been suggested. They do serve Afternoon Tea with a beautiful tea tray, cups and pots, however it is served by request during regular lunchtime hours. The scones are very moist unlike the ususal dry ones but they also have Traditional English Scones with a Orange Blossom Butter as well.Unfortunately your last reviewer may not have all the info about all that this tea house has to offer. Prices were great for the larger than normal portions I received. Will return.

This is a very modern tea room so if you are looking for old world charm, you need to go somewhere else. The food was good but not great. The scones were more like giant cookies, and the tea was not good at all. The pots that they serve the tea in, allow the tea to steep until you finish the pot, so the last couple of cups are extremely bitter. The pots are also clear, so all you see are the wet tea leaves floating around in the tea (not very attractive). They also didn't have pretty tea cups just large clear mugs (no ambiance at all) Prices were the highest of all the tea rooms I have ever been too.

A friend and I had lunch here the other day and our Fiesta Black Bean Salads were very good. I had a cup of Chai (from a tea bag) to go and it was pretty good. My friend tried the Chai Latte and enjoyed it. Our Server didn't know a lot but was more than willing to find out the answers to our questions. Will be going back to try some other things.
