The atmosphere at the Phoenician is lovely despite in being in the lobby of the resort. Their service was good. We didn't love the food though. The sandwiches were traditional and ok but the desserts appeared and tasted like they were made in bulk. It wasn't the quality we'd expect from a tea room of this caliber.

My mom and I went. They kept giving us extras on sandwiches and desserts, we ate until we were so full that we could have been rolled back to our car! Would definitely go again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our delightful High Tea at The Phoenician. The service, beautiful china, and luxurious but cozy atmosphere made it very special. I loved the delicious tea sandwiches, and we were able to enjoy seconds of those we liked best.
If you're looking for a memorable, heart and tummy warming lunch, you'll love it here.

We have always enjoyed coming to the Phoenician for afternoon tea and on this occasion on 11/26/11 which my sister and I took our mother, sister in law and granddaughters for another wonderful afternoon, not realizing at the time that we would all lose Mom in a couple of months to her 3 time fighting cancer. We will all remember how happy she was on that day, food was excellent, the server, Wanda exceptional and the lovely Christmas decorations. We took wonderful pictures and they will be cherished for the years to come. Again, thank you for helping us make another memory.

What a delightful time on 11/26/11 we had spending with Mom on making this a special day for her. My sister and I treated our Mother along with granddaughters (3) and sister in law for an afternoon to honor her. As always, Wanda made Mom feel so special. We took several pictures by the Christmas tree which made for a great pictures and memories.

We've attended a few tea houses and The Phoenician is the gold standard. The sandwiches, scones, and pastries are fresh, using high quality ingredients, and seconds are offered. Service is seamless and gracious. The tea takes place in the Phoenician lobby and while there are no frilly hats or boutique items in the background, the surroundings are luxurious. Gaze outside the large windows for a breathtaking view of the valley.

A girlfriend and I went to the The Lobby Tea Court at the Phoenician. It is a lovely venue for tea. Natalie the server was very friendly. In the backgroud, Allan was playing classical music and show tunes on the piano, it felt like he was serenading us. China is exquisite. Sandwiches were plentiful and tasty. With many varieties to choose from. My personal favorite was the chicken salad with lemon and thyme, delicious. Don't be afraid to ask for seconds! Scones were great, light and fluffy with lemon curd, devon cream and strawberry preserves. 2 varieties to choose from: buttermilk and cranberry. Desserts were great as well, 7 varieties to choose from. They even gave us goodies to take home. My only complaint is the tea pot was too large, other than that it was truly a terrific experience! I can see why it was vote #1 in AZ! I will definitely make it out there again! Try it and see!

We sat facing the window with a beautiful view of Phoenix. The table was set with lovely Wedgewood. The presentation was professional and the food looked lovely. The regular fare; finger sandwiches (cucumber, salmon, egg salad, chicken salad), small scones, and a variety of sweets. You could have seconds of whatever you liked which was suprising. Perhaps 15 or so teas to choose from. Leaves left in pot. I know that is the British way, but that always means you last few cups are too strong or bitter. Definately enjoyable, but I would like to see more creativity in the savories, especially for the price and considering they likely have a world class chef.

My daughters and I went to tea with my 6 year old Granddaughter.
The pianist was wonderful, the live music a definite plus. The china is Wedgewood, the ambience is
wonderful, and the lemon curd, devonshire cream and wonderful tiny applestruddles were perfect. The only drawback is their scones are barely average. The rest of the tea was exactly right. Cucumber sandwhiches and asparagus ham were particular favorites.
Go Enjoy! The price is about $40
each. The experience is worth it.
