I was surprised by the other reviews. I don't frequent tea rooms, so perhaps others are far better??, but I've been to Linens and Lace twice now and both visits were quite enjoyable. No, our waitress wasn't checking in every minute, but I think tea should be about relaxing, so I didn't want her checking in every second anyway. We had the strawberry soup, which was great, and I loved the ham and slaw sandwiches and the farmers cheese sandwiches. I would agree that the cookies seemed like they were from a box. I thought the price was reasonable for what we got though. I also appreciated the decor, music and lighting. It was romantic and relaxing.

I have to agree with the other review. I am not sure how this place stays open. The food was horrible and what they tried to pass off as scones is insulting. I am not sure what it even was. The food was far from fresh tasting and gourmet. There are other tea houses in Carroll County that are far better. It is a family run business that seems to not want to add the extra wait staff and not have a professional chef. The waitress was the owners daughter and she was cooking also.

My party and I were extremely disappointed with this tea room. The service was slow due to only one server for three parties. The sandwiches were of a terrible variety. Peanut butter and pineapple????!!!! Yeck!!!!!!! Ham and pineapple??? Those flavors are an acquired taste to say the least. The desserts were less than gourmet. I'm pretty sure that I saw the same cookies on the shelf at Target. We couldn't even speak with our waitress because she visited are table so infrequently. I went so far as to call the owner, and when she finally decided to return my call, she was less than pleasant. She even had the audacity to suggest that my day was unpleasant due to the others with me. How rude!!!!! The customer is not always right in that shop! Needless to say I will not be having tea there again nor will it get my recommendation.

Wonderful way to spend a rainy afternoon enjoying the atmosphere and tea. Our tea maid was very friendly and courteous.
Would enjoy visiting this tea room again.

I felt that if you are going for a regular tea you should be offered choices of what type of sandwiches, desserts & scones you wanted not what they give you. The tea selection was very good. But I fell for the cost of $18 more selections should have been offered than a come type of crab sandwich on white bread & carrot raisin salad on wheat.

This tea room's setting was quite appealing. My daughter and I went there Thursday moring and I was quite impressed. There were quite a few good teas to select from and we were happy with our choice. Since it was morning we just had the scones with our tea (we had vinilla and apple-cranberry) and they were nicely presented, but we loved the tea holders even better. Our waitress was also very nice. Overall our experience was very good and we will be back.

My first experience attending a tea was wonderful. Lindsey was attentive and friendly. The atmospher was charming. We chose a full tea, that was as delightful as the presentation. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we will be sure to visit again, and encourage our friends to do so, also.

A friend and I had tea at Linens and Lace and it was a wonderful experience. The room was a picture of Victorian charm and our hostess Lindsey was absolutely delightful. We had the full tea and the food was so plentiful we had to take a lot of it home. We will be sure to come again.
