A little gem in the small town of Covington. Huge variety of teas to choose from plus very tasty food. Owners are fantastic. Ashley & Michael are excellent servers. Quaint atmosphere and they make you feel at home. Very busy so call for reservations.

Miss Jan and the staff at the Tea Room are always wonderful and glad to stop and chat with us. The food is phenomenal, and their tea menu rivals Chimes' drink menu. :-)

Really great tea room with an incredibly friendly staff and great food! However, I've found that the tea itself isn't great quality (even though they have an incredibly large selection).

This is a great tea room. The owners and staff are very sweet. There are different rooms dedicated to the Queen and anything English. Even the restroom is named The Loo. The food and tea are delicious. Everything from just tea and scones to shepherd's pie. They have a very large tea menu with many different types of tea. The owner will often walk around and tell you different stories about the teas and their health benefits and history. It is a very special place.

I went to this amazing tea room in March with my best friend and her boyfriend. We had a delicious lunch in the Winston Churchhill Room. This place has an amazing staff, a fabulous selection of teas and a wonderful atmosphere. I really cannot say enough good things about this place.
This teahouse will always be special to me because a few months later, my best friend's boyfriend proposed to her there! I really wish we had more special tea houses near where I live.

I love going to the English Tea Room. The tea and food are delicious, and I love the tea cup sets they have. Every time I go, I automatically relax and have a good time, even in the middle of finals week. It is a very refreshing atmosphere. I don't live in Covington, so it's usually a half hour drive to get there, but I don't mind at all since the experience is so awesome. I wish they could open up more tea rooms in Hammond and Baton Rouge though.

On a trip to the area, we stopped twice at the English Tea room: once for their Windsor High Tea and once for a Cream Tea. Both were delicious, and beautifully served. We enjoyed chatting with the owners about their plans, and considering the choices of 100 teas to select from. Highly recommended.

The English Team Room is a place that is of warmth, prestige and culture. If you want to know what it is like to experience a true High Tea in a cottage type setting this is the place to go. I have been blessed by the English Tea Room time and time again with such wonderful service, quality and hospitality. I recommend anyone and everyone to bring their daughters, sisters, mothers, aunts and girlfriends for a bit of elegance in their cup at The English Tea Room!
Cheers =)

My girlfriend and I attended the Jane Austin tea. What a great time had by all. It was like a high tea with various types of tea served. Readings of Jane Austin were provided. We also played a game which were a variety of passages/lines from Jane Austin's books/movies. Prizes were awarded and this just made for a great day. We look fwd. to the next event. Harry Potter's Hogwart's in Oct. always a pleasure goint to the English tea room. Even if its just for lunch and to relax with your friend/s.

My family and I just attended the Harry Potter Hallowean Tea. A great experience with eveyone in full costume. The interior was a slice of Hogwarts. Nicky did a wonderful interior decorating job and all the food was themed.

I am lucky enough to live in Covington, and enjoy The English Tea Room so much! The food is quite nice, especially the soups that are MADE with tea as an ingredient!!! Steve is marvelously knowledgeable and always very helpful! They have a wonderful array of teapots that have made great gifts! (and a few that I had intended as gifts but ended up keeping!)

My husband, daughter, and I have went to the English Tea Room on several different occasions and have always found it to be the best! The service is awesome and the food is just WONDERFUL! This spring I took a group of ladies to enjoy tea with and they all loved it as well! Thumbs up or should I say tea cups up.... ;) The atmosphere is so nice and you're not rushed to finish your tea. Very nice folks and I don't think you will be disappointed!
