My friend and I recently visited Stillwater Tearoom for a very pleasant afternoon. We made reservations and were seated upstairs. The house is decorated beautifully and the atmosphere is conducive to relaxing conversation. The owner had brewed a tea for the day, but was very happy to accomodate our selection. Tea was served in three courses with a scone, fruit and cheese first, a chicken salad croissant second and a cucumber and pimento sandwich with tea treats third. The food was very tasty and presented well. The owner was gracious and attentive. I would definitely recommend it and plan to return. My suggestion would be to request your tea selection when making the reservation and also your choice of lemon or milk to accompany.

Visited the Stillwater House Tea Room and could not have been more pleased. Just wonderful to relax with a cup of tea and some wonderful tea treats! A very pleasant experience. A real blessing to visit! Will definitely return! JWG

Suffolk Virginia has a new tea room and it is excellent! The Stillwater House Tea Room opened recently and my wife and I have already been twice. While Stillwater House serves a selection of lunch items, it also serves traditional English tea with a selection of teas, soup, fruit, finger sandwiches, scones, and deserts. Everything they do is done with excellence. The food is delicious and the price is very reasonable. Give Stillwater a try--you will be glad you did!
