My daughter and I went to Tea Roses for her birthday in August of 2012 and we had a wonderful time. The tea room in its decoration was very relaxing and soothing. The menu imaginative and the tea choices, many. You pick your tea from a Tea Album and let me tell you it was hard to decide. We both got different teas so we got to sample Red Velvet Tea(flavored Rooibos) and Slow Swing (Blueberry Green Tea). Both were wondeful, flavorful teas. We ordered organic lettuce leaves with fruit (blueberries, strawberries and raspberries and an assortment of nuts) and it came with fabulous scones and fresh fruit. We also ordered a plate of assorted Tea sandwiches and Savories which were very, very good. THEN, if all that wasn't all great, for dessert we ordered a plate of assorted mini desserts which were to die for. The table settings and the presentation of our dishes was charming. We sat, talked, laughed and just enjoyed the unhurried attmosphere of Tea Roses. The Motto is perfect, Welcome to Tea Roses - SIT, SIP, RELAX

This (Sept 6, 2012) was my first tea room experience and I can't wait to do it again. Everything was excellent. The room is very relaxing and calming and the presentation was beyond charming. Can't stop telling everyone about the day.

Peggy is always amazing, the food is always perfect and the atmosphere is perfect. I go there frequently and love going with friends and introducing new people to the experience. Every week I am excited to see what the new soups will be.

Tea Roses Tea Room is a Connecticut treasure. It is one of the best if not the best tea room in Connecticut. There is a great assortment of delightful organic teas. The scones are scrumptious and the sandwiches and desserts are a treat for the taste buds. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Boston and New York no longer have a monopoly on great places for a traditional afternoon tea.

I cannot believe it has been a year since Peggi opened her tea room. It is fantastic as ever. I love all her accoutrements in her gift area. It is a great place for picking up some great gift items.
The food is fresh and presented beautifully. Keep up the good work, Peggi, and congrats on your one-year anniversary. The bubbly was delicious!

My husband and I enjoyed afternoon tea on our last day of vacation recently, and it felt like we saved the very best for last!
The atmosphere was so peaceful, relaxing and welcoming. My pot of the Tea Roses blend was excellent! And our food was as lovely to look at as it was delicious.
Peggi is a charming hostess, and we could not have enjoyed our experience any more!

On my visit in June this year my wonderful daughter-in-law took me for my first tea room experience. Peggi, Gail and Jan are the greatest people, the very best hostesses and Peggi the tea was wonderful. I've been bragging about it since June and can't wait until my next visit and next tea room experience. The atmosphere is like sitting in any antibellum dining room here in North Carolina. Thanks for such a wonderful experience. Peggy

I went to Tea Roses about 2.5 weeks ago and really loved it. It's charming, and Peggi, the hostess, is out of this world in terms of her service and welcome. I went with a group of women (all of us in our 20's and 30's), and everyone had a fabulous time! I highly recommend this place.

What a find! Any real tea connoisseur will appreciate this lovely, quaint tea room. The quality of the teas, as well as the food, is superb. The scones, shortbread, and lemon tarts were delectable! Peggi's attention to detail is evident in the decor, the soothing background music, the silverware, and her fine collection of tea cups. Each individual pot of tea is served with a tea warmer so your last cup of tea is as enjoyable as your first. The atmosphere invites conversation and relaxation with your best girlfriends. This tearoom is a real gem; one that I will be returning to again and again.
