Just returned from a trip to Calistoga and was so disappointed to learn that the English Garden Tea Rooms have gone out of business. The last time we were there a few months back, it was so wonderful and looked forward to returning. We wish the owners the best of luck on their next venture!

I hosted a bachelorette tea at English Garden and we had a wonderful time. It was October - it was raining and the atmosphere in the teahouse was relaxed and cozy. Our server was a young man who was delightful and knowledgeable! There was a bit of excitement with a 'ghost vs. a glass shelf' which only served to make the afternoon more memorable! Loved the afternon and will certainly be back next time we are in Calistoga! Food & Tea were excellent, owners delightful, service perfect, atmosphere charming!

My wife and I together with a friend were traveling in the Napa and San Francisco area from Phoenix and visited the tearoom. We each had their “Windsor Tea”. The sandwiches, scone and deserts were quite nice. Our server JJ and owner Jane were very helpful in choice of teas and fun to chat with. The décor was very nice and the separate rooms would serve parties well. We were in the Garden room with a window view overlooking the patio, very bright and cheerful. The price was reasonable and they also have a lunch menu that appeared quite substantial with something suitable to a variety of appetites. We recommend you visit when you in the area; we took several of their cards back to our concierge so others could have the opportunity to enjoy their experience as we did.

I highly recommend this newer tearoom. We enjoyed ourselves from the moment we entered and smelled the great aroma's from the kitchen. As others mentioned it's decorated beautifully in lovely colors so comfortable. You immeniatly feel special.
The food presentation, atmosphere, and warmth and friendly attention from our hosts make going there from Cotati well worth the drive.
We'll definatly be going back soon to try out the steak and mushroom pie next.
Also I felt the prices are comprable to most tea rooms in CA.

The ambiance was great, the hospitality by Jim and Jane was fantastic. Great people from England. BUT I do have a complaint which will prevent me returning. What my wife and I want is really good tea and great scones. When we were in England we were ALWAYS served large scones. Jim said the scones at his establishment were what you would get in England. BUT in reality the scones he served were maybe 2 inches in diameter and maybe 1 inch high. Probably 1/2 the size we had in England. To get a 'Cream Tea' costs about $15! That is a steep price for tea and two small scones! I hate sounding negative about this establishment because we loved the people and atmosphere. It just seems overly pricey. Please don't take my word for it. Check it out. You may come away with a completly impression.

This new tea house in downtown Calistoga has numerous tastefully decorated rooms for secluded tea diversions. A warm and friendly ambience pervades the establishment and the food menu is extensive, giving light and heavy nibblers alike something to suit their needs. Tea is served in large pots, allowing each person to enjoy several cups. Overall, an excellent place to dally on one's own or to meet friends.

This tea room had been open one week when we stumbled upon it touring the wine country. The host was excellent, very friendly. The tea selection was fine and the food was tasty. We loved the way each room was decorated representing a flower. We were seated in the rose room. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are traveling along highway 29/128.
