If you want a place that will make you feel welcomed, that has a cozy atmosphere, great coffee, great tea, great workers, and guess what, free wi-fi, Metropolis is the place to go. It is the place I buy my coffee, ready to drink and whole bean. I will say that I have not eaten many of the pastries, only a croissant and I was very pleased with it (the coffee is my indulgence). If you are in the area and fancy a good cup of coffee, cup of tea, or an incredible cup of Mexican hot chocolate, Metropolis is the place.

Metropolis is my neighborhood joint, I often stop there for a cup after gym. Their coffees are excellent. The teas are a different story. The selection is varied and nice, they have some premium teas. But... They don't quite know how to brew them properly. They manage to brew black tea and roiboos very well. That's easy - add boiling water. But green teas are more difficult, they pour boiling water over green tea as well, and it always comes out bitter. Which is a shame, because they have some very nice Dragonwell. They really scalded my Green Darjeeling.
Otherwise it's a great place for a cup, often loud, but cheerful and unpretentious. Great people watching too.

they've built a wall between the coffee roaster and general seating- very quiet now.
