An intimate space, tastefully decorated. The menu is varied enough to hold one's interest, yet focused enough to avoid confusing the novice. The owner/operator is a charming young girl from Kyoto with an obvious passion for tea. The Roji tea lounge is a tranquil, inviting escape from the downtown bustle.

A friend and I visiting Syracuse literally stumbled upon this place as a recommendation from a barista at a local coffee shop. I am so happy we did. It was quaint, comfortable, and incredibly welcoming with a wide selection of teas. It ended up pouring the day we came and we stayed without issue until the rain stopped. It was so nice, peaceful, and just perfect that we came back the next day. I have incredibly fond memories of our visit and plan to return again once the pandemic is over.

Roji offers an open, quiet atmosphere and a wide selection of excellent-quality teas. They have a snack/food menu as well, with delicious vegan and gluten-free options. Highly recommend visiting.

One of my favorite places within the city. An inviting atmosphere with a wide selection of teas to try. Excellent snack/dessert choices and vegan-friendly. Most of their staff is prepared to answer some of your most complicated questions about tea. They are well-trained and knowledgeable. They make sure that even their newest associates are excellently trained before engaging with customers. A worthwhile place to visit.

Roji is a wonderful tea room. Such attention to detail in the presentation and serving of tea, wonderfully dreamy atmosphere. The selection of teas is very broad, and the green tea cake is delicious!! I spent many an evening with friends here, and it holds so many great memories for me! I have since moved to NYC, and I can say that nothing here surpasses Roji's spot as my favorite tea room of all time. The others just can't compare!

This lounge made me a fan of tea as I never really took much interest before coming here. I go there 2-3 times a week to do homework or just get out of my apartment. The only thing more impressive than the taste of the tea is the care that goes into preparing and presenting it. The the staff is simply awesome, engaging when I am being social, letting me be when I am isolating myself with headphones to do work. They are also really helpful, which is great since I know nothing about tea. Its one of the few places I will really miss in Syracuse when I leave.

The tea was excellent and couches were comfy. The staff was more than willing to chat and make recommendations. Roji even had something my non-tea drinking boyfriend could enjoy with their bubble tea. It was a great experience and worth going to. I'll definitely be going back there.

The owner is the most charming girl on earth. Her mother is a grand master of the Japanese tea ceremony, so tea is in her blood, so to speak. I only know this because they hosted a demonstration of the complete tea ceremony once - what an amazing ritual! The variety of teas they have available is easily on a par with any hip, urban tea lounge in any real city, like NY, San Francisco, etc.... It's an astounding thing to find in Syracuse, and should be considered a valuable local resource. I try to stop in whenever I'm in town. Where else can I get a cup of Silver Needle this far upstate?
