I am so disappointed that Churchill's has closed. I used to take my granddaughters there once or twice a year, and the servers always remembered them and welcomed them like family. The tea was exceptional, and the food very good. I do hope that Churchill's reopens in downtown Cincinnati.

So glad this place is closed. It's an excellent example of how NOT to run a business. Everything there was sacrificed at the owner's discretion- quality of the food, how guests were treated, and how the employees were treated. I would not reccomend this tea room to anyone, even if it was still open.

Everyone at the table ordered a different personal-sized pot, and we did a little passing around to taste the different ones. I ordered the Windsor Blend, which was delicious, so I bought a bag to take home with me and am still enjoying it.
Before coming, we had a snack because we didn't think that the afternoon tea would be filling enough. Big mistake! It didn't even look that filling when it arrived, but it was quite enough for a meal and we had to roll ourselves out of there!
The location takes a little of the allure away, because it's hard to forget that you're in a mall, despite the cozy atmosphere within the tea shop.

I went to ChurchHills last year and thought it a bit pricy for 1 sandwitch and a spot of tea, I went back this year and it was totally, as the brittish say 'ducky' they had new sandwitches, me and my friend austin went in and got the Ham and Havarri with a medium pot of Irish cream, My friend said 'dude, this tea totally kicks butt. I wish we could get some to take home. unfortunately we didn't have enough money afterward, I would very very very very highly recommend this tea room, it rock

I work and live in the cincinnati area. My friends and I often visit Churchills. We are always impressed with what the staff has to offer. The servers alwasys try to accommodate to the best of their ability. The food aways seems to be freshest that can be bought especially during this season. the manager seems to always willing to help us out with tea selections and reccommend some of the best teas that we have ever tasted. I hope you will discover the joys and love of churchills.

We visited Churchills for high tea. We made reservations a few weeks out, and cancelled one the day before . . .they told us that was no problem. Once there, one guest shared that she was unable to eat carbs so could not enjoy the high tea menu but ordered a soup and salad as well as a couple of pots of tea. The tea and the meal were 'ok.' What was not 'OK' was being informed AFTER we had finished that they would be charging us $22.95 for each high tea meal, PLUS an additional $22.95 for two high tea meals that were not eaten (again, one meal was cancelled the day before!). They even had the humor to write '2 meals at 50% off' on our ticket. With so many other great tea venues in cincinnati - we will not have to waste our time or money at churchills again.

After spending the holidays in London and falling in love with the way the English celebrate tea time, a friend recommended I try Churchill's. She has lunch there regularly and always raves about the food and service. I decided to have Afternoon Tea and was extremely impressed. The number of tea choices was unbelievable and the server was so friendly and helped me choose some wonderful teas. The food was fantastic and I especially enjoyed the scones!

We stopped in on a cold, wet afternoon for a spot of tea to reinvigorate us during a recent shopping trip downtown. Surly doesn't even begin to describe the staff...unhelpful, unhappy...these might come close, despite the fact that it was dead there with 4 staff standing around pouting. We decided not to stay, but still needed a cup of tea to go, we ordered some tea. After they finally figured out how to make our selections, we were on our way, and happy to report that the tea was drinkable. Not fab, just drinkable. Starbucks down the street would've done the trick, I imagine, but we wanted to support a tea room. Sorry, not recommended.

A friend who was visiting Cincinnati found Churchill's and recommended it to me. I can not believe I did not know that such a wonderful place existed in my own city! I always have such a pleasant experience there, the staff helps me choose new teas and I am always so impressed with their knowledge and the quality of their teas. The food is delicious and I love to see what new desserts they have each time I go. It is rare to find a place that is as warm and inviting as Churchill's. I highly recommend it!

Well, this place certainly wasn't about the tea! We visited this tearoom after getting a recommendation from our hotel concierge during a recent trip to Cincinnati, and were extremely disappointed. The food was not fresh or particularly interesting and appealing, the tea tepid, dull, and stale, and the service perfunctory at best. There was a nice variety of china and other knick-knacks/dust collectors, but the decor was nothing to write home (in CA) about.

Not as I expected it to be. Been to other tea houses in Cincinnati and was not as impressed. From the time I arrived to the time I left, I felt misinformed about the tea (especially the tea I ordered). Asked for caffiene free and was served a caffinated tea. ?? Service was adequate but could have been a bit more friendly.

If you are in downtown Cincinnati, you must stop at Churchill's, located in Tower Place. The food is delicious and plentiful, the prices reasonable, and the staff very welcoming. The atmosphere is homey, and lacking pretension. Highly recommended.

What a delightful experience! I never knew I even liked tea until my visit to Churchill's, but I may, now, turn in my coffee mug for their dainty cup and saucers! The food is EXCELLENT. I've never been to England before but know I wouldn't get anything more authentic there as their condiments are direct imports and Kathleen's knowledge and passion for tea, both astounding and heart-warming.

I have traveled quite a bit in Europe, Asia and the US. I have had tea in many of the places as well as tea rooms in Cincinnati. Churchill's is by far my favorite. They have the largest selection of teas in Cincinnati and the staff is SO friendly and knowledgeable. I have learned so much from them and truly appreciate teas even more now. The best part is that I can have a quick lunch with friends or dazzle my clients with Afternoon Tea. The food is delicious!

My wife and I decided, at the spur of the moment, to give Churchills a try while spending a day in downtown. I do have to say that the service and cheer of the staff is worth the visit alone. Our server chatted with us, offered suggestions of different teas and made us feel like we were old friends. Fortunately, the actual tea and food complimented the attitudes perfectly. We had eaten lunch a few hours earlier, so a high tea was not on our radar, but there was room for their yummy scones with fresh clotted cream and preserves. The tea was perfectly steeped, not the slightest bit bitter. All in all, it was the perfect way to wrap up a busy afternoon.

I was concerned after reading some of the other reviews whether this tea room would be worth a visit or not. But I am glad I went. The teas offered were presented in a menu for you to read about and choose. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The food was excellent and well prepared and the tea pot stayed at the table! Loved the owners daughter who went out of her way to make the experence enjoyable. We will definatly be back! Great gift shop also, lots of variety.

I have been to this tea room several times with my Red Hat group and I am always impressed! I think the food is just delicious and our server always helps us choose new teas to try. I would definitely recommend this tea room to anyone looking for a great cup of tea to relax over, or a fun afternoon with a group of friends.
